How CartYatra measures your store
CartYatra uses Shopify's standard customer events and confirms purchases from Shopify order records, linked to journeys only through Shopify's checkout token, never by guessing.
Metric definitions| Visitor (tracked session) | A group of actions by one anonymous browser. A new session starts after 30 minutes of inactivity. |
|---|
| Left after one page | A session with a single page view and no product, cart or checkout action. Labelled as a proxy, not an exact bounce rate. |
|---|
| Cart abandonment | A session that added to cart with no purchase within 24 hours. Shown as “may still buy” until the 24 hours pass. |
|---|
| Checkout abandonment | A session that started checkout with no purchase within 24 hours, with the last checkout step reached. |
|---|
| Matched purchase | An order linked to a journey through Shopify's checkout token. Orders that can't be linked are counted separately, never guessed. |
|---|
| Exit page | The last page a visitor saw before leaving without buying. |
|---|
What CartYatra does not do
To stay simple and private, CartYatra has no session recordings, heatmaps, custom report builder or ad-spend (ROAS) reporting, and never identifies individual shoppers.
